Cristiano Ronaldo ‘tells Juventus he won’t return’ to club after team-mate Rugani tests positive for coronavirus

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has told his club Juventus that he won’t return to the club from Portugal after his club team-mate Daniele Rugani tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday according to multiple media reports in Italy.

Ronaldo’s doctors have told him to take precautionary measures to avoid contracting the virus and he has been placed on quarantine in his hometown Madeira in Portugal, in an attempt to prevent it from spreading.

Ronaldo was pictured hugging and shaking his teammates after the club’s win over Inter Milan last weekend, so is under self-quarantine like other Juve players.

Juventus is located in Turin, one of the worst coronavirus hit places in Italy, so Ronaldo, who traveled to Madeira to be with his mum who recently suffered a heart attack.

Italy has banned all sporting activities in the country till it gets a grip on the virus, so Juventus will not be playing any matches anytime soon.
