Nigerians Call Out Pastor Adeboye While Others Support Him For Saying ”As Long As You Are In The Secret Place Of The Most High, No Virus Will Come Near You” While His Parishes Are Closing In America
Nigerians are reacting to a video posted by RCCG general overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye in which he said that as far as a person is hidden in the secret place of the Almighty, no virus can come near such a person. His comment comes as the world battles the Coronavirus pandemic.
In the video posted on his verified Instagram handle, the clergyman said
“I want to assure you that there is no virus that can come near you at all because it is written that those that dwell in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I believe that this is a time for God to show you clearly that there is a difference between those who serve him wholeheartedly and those who do not”.
Nigerians are expressing their displeasure over the video. They argue that it is unfair for the clergyman to insinuate that those currently infected by the virus are not hiding under God’s shadow including the new-born baby who contracted the virus. Others are asking why the parishes in the U.S are also shutting down in the face of the virus.
