Gov. Bello lifts lockdown in Kabba, insists Kogi is Covid-19 free

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has lifted the lockdown set on kabba local government area of the state after two cases were supposedly confirmed.

He made the announcement at the Government House in Lokoja on Friday June 5, stating that the decision of lifting the lockdown was reached when samples which were tested came back negative.
The Governor who insisted that Kogi state still remains a COVID-19-free state, urged residents of the state to observe protocols of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to curb the spread of the disease.

  1. When a fool chop belleful, he challenges his chi (chi) to a fight. What is it that this gov want to prove. Is he telling us that Kogi state is immuned from the pandemic that is ravaging the whole world. Maybe he is seeking relevance for his clueless governance that left the state in worst developmental state. I passed thru Lokoja on my way to Abuja in 2012 from Southeast and the dusty town, sorry, capital was like a local government headquarters in one of the Southeast states. Two years later the town Lokoja is worst than a council headquarters yet this clueless governor won reelection. Now he is toying with pandemic that had claimed so many lives. What do he want to prove

  2. This governor self I don’t know want to say coz when an elite behaving like this a whole chief security of a state that means all the whole state are not in safe hand.

  3. This conflict between Kogi Givt and NCDC shows that there’s some scrupulous acts going on in this corona saga. Let’s just be truthful and transparent with Nigerians
