Wike sacks MD of Microfinance agency, orders arrest of officials
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has ordered the dismissal of the Managing director of Rivers State Microfinance agency, Dr Ipalibo Sogules and the arrest of three other top officials over allegations of fraud.
The officials include; Head of SMEs, Mr Nimi Harry; the Head of Finance and Accounts, Mr Ukele Okorji; and the Internal Auditor, Mr Sofiri Koko.
This was according to a statement by the states commissioner for information and communication, Paulinus Nsirim.
The governor also directed that the heads of other departments of the agency be arrested for further investigations.
That’s the one you notice, there are many of it in other ministries and I implore you to extend it to others too. It’s a welcome development.
Most microfinance banks are blood suckers. They mismanage funds meant to give to those in need are siphoned for their personal use
Thank you for arresting these fraudulent individuals..I wonder why people choose to.engage in fraud even after receiving huge salaries…it’s unfair that people always put themselves first above any thing and that’s wrong pls
