Man rescued from committing suicide in Ogun State

36-year-old Fatai Ogundele has been rescued from committing suicide at the popular Ogun River in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to eyewitnesses, the man had arrived the river in an attempt to throw himself into it but was rescued by men of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps.

The spokesperson of Ogun TRACE Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the incident said the married man with five children, said he was frustrated with his life.

He was later taken to the police station in Adigbe.

  1. May Almighty God have mercy on us, things are happening everywhere but we are just pulling it. I don’t see anything that could happen and warrant taking of once life. If you have died or succeeded in taking your life who would take care of your families. Always think twice.

  2. Its one thing to rescue him but its another thing to look into the problem that led him to attempt committing suicide. If its unemployment, give him job

    Suicide is never an option and now that he is alive, they should check the reason why he attempted suicide and works towards preventing others from doing same
