Amaechi mocked me when I succeeded him in 2015 – Wike
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has recounted how his predecessor mocked him while running to contest the 2015 governorship election in the state.
According to him the former Governor of Rivers State now Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi had told him(Wike) that there wouldn’t be money to pay salaries or even provide infrastructure for the state, adding that he has surpassed his challenges and the people have not been left disappointed.
The Governor said this while speaking with newsmen after the inspection of the ongoing shore protection work at the sandfilled land at Eastern Bypass, Port Harcourt
The governor also said the last five years of his administration has been remarkably successful because of the help of God as he has recovered the land that was once a hideout for criminals.
“Each day I wake up I get surprised about the things that we have achieved. In May 29, 2015 when I came in, the former governor said that there was not going to be money anywhere to pay salaries and not to talk about providing infrastructure. It is amazing, people wonder where we are getting money from.”
With God all things are possible. Human proposes but God disposes, that means you shouldn’t underrate or mock your fellow human because nobody knows tomorrow. Although AMECHI didn’t mock you but politics even you too you know how abuse/mock president buhari but now nko, you are praising him like no one else, the problem you people are having is that you are playing politics with everything even with Nigerians lives. I will implore you to make peace with him and move on.

The rivalry between incumbent governors and their predecessors is caused because of greed and quest to remain relevant in government long after one had left office. This usually occure where godfatherism is rampant and when the godson can no longer bear the heat. Our politicians are insatiable due maily cause by the perpetual desire to cover up their misdeed while in office. And this is why the same crop of people keep circulating as our leaders. Its shameful
Well, let go of the mockery, focus on Rivers State, develop it more than Him and let your results mock him back
