Police denies arresting Seyitan who accused D’banj of rape

The Nigerian police has denied claims of arresting Seyitan Babatayo, the lady who accused singer, D’banj, of rape.

According to a police source, D’banj reported on three separate occasions at FCID for interrogation and statement, while Seyitan repeatedly refused to show up. Her refusing to show up led to the prompt dispatch of officers by the Force CID to Lagos, to invite her for written statement and interrogation on the alleged rape incident.
The police source insisted that there might be a mix up by the legal representative of Seyitan over claims of being arrested and detained by Police operatives at Ikeja in Lagos for 24 hours, saying she was only invited for a written statement.

  1. Denial and counter denial. How can police deny arresting the woman when DBaj threatened and harassed the woman when she first made the allegation against him. The IGP has given order that those policemen that arrested the woman should be rounded up and detained. But come to think of it. Nigerian layers are hungry dogs. Why are they pressing for DBaj prosecution when the woman involved had publicly come out to say, she has forgiven DBaj

  2. Professionalism, she is the one who alledge and must show up to put her statement for further investigation. I implore police to their investigation diligently in order not mix up the case.

  3. Nigerian police force ranked 157 put of 157 and i now seethe reason for that ranking
