Covid-19: we are yet to receive Money from the Federal Government – Udom Emmanuel

Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel says the state is yet to receive money from the Federal Government for its fight against Coronavirus.

He said this during a routine media chat to update citizens on efforts of state government in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and also to clear misconceptions that the state has received financial support from the Federal Government.

“As I’m talking to you, I’m yet to receive one Naira from federal government for the fight against Covid-19.

“A lot of people believe we are doing all these things because the federal government has given us so much money.

“No, not at all.

“We do this because we see our responsibility to save lives and I had said that I will be at the forefront of this fight,”

  1. You should sort yourself out with the federal government, if their is any hindrance that is blocking your way, you should look out for solution.

  2. Keep waiting. All the money you have been receiving, what have u done with it. Must you expect money specifically for covid19 before u do the needful. Your state is one of the most boyant states finiancially

  3. Hes truthful
Other state received palliatives and why should they be an exception but he finally used what he had instead of waiting for the president

  4. You can do something with the little you have. Although it’s right for you to call on the FG since other states received a boost to tackle this pandemic
