Magu’s looting shows Nigeria is a Zoo – Nnamdi Kanu
Leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the suspension of Ibrahim Magu as acting chairman of the Economic and financial crimes commission EFCC
It was reported that Buhari on Friday approved the suspension to allow unhindered inquiry by the Presidential Investigation Panel under the Tribunals of Inquiry Act & other relevant laws as he also ordered Mohammed Umar, EFCC Director of Operations to take charge of the Commission.
Reacting to this, Kanu in a tweet via his Twitter handle stated that wasn’t it ironic that Magu who was appointed to prosecute looters was shamelessly looting.
“The man appointed to prosecute government looters in Nigeria is shamelessly looting all he could, ironic isn’t?
“Are you beginning to understand why we call Nigeria a zoo?” he wrote
Nigeria is not a zoo but some of our leaders are zoo because how on Earth would you acquire that huge amount of wealth to do what? You were appointed as store keeper and you are looting/stealing the goods that is being stored in the store, what do we called that.? Some of our leaders are so selfishness, you are collecting huge amount of money as salary, what do you want those who are earning #18k per month to do.? May God help my country.

Set a theif to catch a thief. The whole world now know that Buhari is not fighting corruption but fighting his opposition through the instrument of Efcc. All along, the 8th Assembly refused to approve Magu as Efcc chairman but his boss stuck his ground that he will remain, even in acting capacity for years. There is no doubt the president has no vested interest in Magus job, and can not claim ignorant of his activities. Magu couldnt have possibly acted alone without the backing of the president. Therefore Magu can not be prosecuted while his principal feign ignorant of his activities. It beats my imagination that the opposition parties are not by now calling for impechment or resignation of the president since his boy who has been indicted by Nass, Dss etc was not heeded to. Now his boy has been caught with the snout of soup in his mouth, nobody is accussing the president but his boy. Who employed the boy. And who insists he stays till now
