Obaseki paid N15B to emerge Gubernatorial candidate for PDP – Ize-Iyamu alleges

Edo state’s Gubernatorial candidate for the ruling all progressives congress, (APC) Osagie Ize-Iyamu has alleged that his opponent, governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki paid his way through to get the seat of the gubernatorial candidate for the peoples democratic party (PDP)

This was according to a statement signed by his campaign director of communications, John Mayaki where he alleged that Obaseki paid the PDP N15 billion to emerge as its governorship candidate.

He further charged the state governor to explain to people of the state how he came about such a huge fund

“He is also yet to explain to the people of Edo State where he got the 15 billion Naira he paid the PDP tax-collectors to facilitate his imposition as the party’s emergency-hour candidate, ” Ize-Iyamu said

“It is no surprise, given the nature of Obaseki’s administration and sharp practices of both governor and appointees that such an agency is missing in Edo State,” he added

  1. It didn’t surprise me, governor wike had previously alledged PDP as tax collector and if this came out to be truth I wouldn’t be surprised. The money allocated to all these public holders are too much, we need to restructure that aspect if we need to eradicate poverty in our land.

  2. This political news don’t come up until days to election or when things don’t favor them
A very poor attitude in our politics system
