NDDC Probe: Akpabio claims Nunieh did not complete NYSC

Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has said the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Joy Nunieh, did not participate in the mandatory one year service of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) neither does she have an exemption letter.

According to Akpabio that was one of the reasons why she was relieved from her duty as Managing director of NDDC.

He told the House of Representatives Committee investigating financial mismanagement in the NDDC on Monday

“The former Managing Director of the NDDC was relieved of her appointment when I received a letter from the then Chief of Staff (may his soul rest in peace) that she did not possess the requisite qualifications to be there, he said

“For instance, we have written twice to the National Youth Service Corps and twice they have insisted that she never served and that she does not have an NYSC certificate or an exception.”

  1. Are telling us that you don’t aware that she doesn’t have what it takes to get the appointment? Many of you holding the office doesn’t deserve to be there but because you have godfather you were giving the chance to lead, at the end of the day you will abuse the office without tangible project or anything meaningful on it. May God bless my country.

  2. This is irrelevant. Since when have NYSC certificate become compulsory for appointment. The Number 1 citizen could not produce his WAEC yet he is still ruling the country. The issue on ground is the fraud case involving over 12 billion that was embezzled under your (Akpabio) watch.

  3. Oga it’s a lie
    Howthen was she appointed MD
    She exposed you sir
    Accept the truth and repent
