23-year-old South African woman stabbed to death by jealous ex-boyfriend who repeatedly told people he was going to kill her
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria, after he allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death after she left him for a new man, Gauteng police said on Sunday, September 13.
Police spokesperson Capt Kay Makhubele who confirmed the incident said the man identified as David Setshoa stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend, Thato, to death with a knife in an alleged “rage of jealousy”.
The incident happened in Leboneng on Thursday evening. He was arrested on Friday and is expected to appear in the Temba magistrate’s court on Monday September 14.
It was gathered that that David had been stalking Thato since she ended the relationship and moved on with a new man. According to close sources he had been telling people that he was going to kill her.
“Thato Gadebe has been stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend David Setshoa in Themba,Hamanskraal. The girl was initially in an on- and – off relationship with the suspect, and now was in a relationship with a new man,” The Daily Talk News reports.
“The ex-boyfriend was stalking her after she found a new man. It got to our attention that he blocked her way as she was at a mall with her man. Police were called but said ‘the man has not done anything to her and can’t act against him’ despite her(Thato) having a protection order against the suspect,”
“We can confirm that David also tried to kill her in the past. He allegedly took Thato to his mom’s grave and promised to kill her and himself. Again, he tried to jump the wall at her place while carrying a gun.”
Meanwhile friends and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn her death and call for justice.
They should kill the Ex by hanging.

Just because a lady left this guy for another man, he stabbed her to death. This is cruelsome and uncalled for.
When a relationship hits the rock, what everyone should do is to find his or her way and move on. There are so many fishes in water and when you search, surely you will get another lover, may be the one better and more loving than the previous one
Now he has killed this young promising lady, what has he gained, he is going to answer for this murder and will be prosecuted for murder
This man should be dealt with severely so as to act as a detriment to others

Can you imagine why killing her nah when there are a lot of girls out there. Where you treating her well before she decided to put a stop to the so called friendship, justice must be taken to avenge Thato’s death so in my own suggestion I think This guy should be killed by hanging although I don’t know South African law against someone that is a murderer. Firstly, I will just implore every ladies outside there to look out for responsible and religious guys who knows God very well before into any relationship with them. That guy is very dangerous in so many ways because if not he won’t threatening to kill her severally before later killed her. Government should not allow him to go Scot Free without being punished for the offence he committed. Rest in peace young lady.

Some guys are very wicked not even only wicked but also callous, what kind of offence could warrant killing of fellow human being like him this is so sad, relationship is not by force both of you are still dating each other and you did this terrible task what if both of them have married he would have cut her into pieces. From the story he has threatened to kill her severally why can’t she report to police before this awful incident occurred. That means we should handle any threatening issues with levity hand we may say the person won’t carry out the threatening action and and carried out. May God forgive her sins and grant the family to bear the irreparable loss.
