Unilorin Nollywood Actor, prof. Ayobami Akinwale is dead

Academia and Nollywood actor, Professor Ayobami Akinwale is dead.

He reportedly died on Sunday, Sept.13th, 2020, after a brief illness.

He was a professor in the department of Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin

The deceased has starred in movies like Sango (1997), Ladepo Omo Adanwo (2005), Iranse Aje (2007) and many others

Asides being an actor and a professor, Ayo Akinwale was also a veteran movie producer, a laureate of the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) and a director.

  3. What a lost! We have lost so many prominent people in this country for this year. These are kind of people that suppose to be tutoring the younger ones. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Those in theater practitioners will surely miss him.

  4. Death is inevitable. Everyone must died but what we need is to live a worthy life of emulation. Indeed, he really live a fulfilled life, may Almighty God forgive his sins and grant his to bear the irreparable loss. So sad.
