Former BBNaija housemates are begging for N100k jobs and sleeping around to maintain the lifestyle – Harri Obi

Media personality, Harri Obi has alleged that former BBNaija housemates are begging for N100k jobs and sleeping around to maintain the lifestyle.

Harri Obi in his tweets, stated that BBN celebrity status is too fickle and exerts unnecessary pressure on someone who might have trekked to the audition venue.

He further averred that when the reality show ends, the housemates are always in a silent competition to outdo each other.

He tweeted;

The BBN celebrity status is too fickle and exerts unnecessary pressure on someone who only 90 days back trekked to the audition venue. I’ve heard of former HMs that are in the DMs of every brand begging for N100k jobs, and others that sleep around to maintain the lifestyle.

You’re an ordinary person, you get on the show for 90 days & all of a sudden people expect you to be flying private jets, driving Tesla, dinning at Sheraton & rocking Gucci. It’s why when people tell me to go for BBN, I just laugh. Societal expectations are killing your faves.

I once overheard a mentor, the ceo of a big PR Agency in Nigeria, say the biggest mistake you’d ever make as a young person is letting yourself get drawn into the Nigerian celebrity vortex. It will chew and spit you out before you know what’s going on.

As soon as HMs leave the house, there is a silent but loud competition to outdo each other; who’s getting the biggest endorsements? Who’s driving the best cars? Who’s traveling the most? Etc. No one is sitting down and planning their next move. It’s all noise and PR.

A former HM from last season said she was broke and abandoned, Anto said something about being under pressure, Ahneeka wants fans to stop telling her how to live her life and Lucy shared the same sentiments days back. Nobody is teaching these younglings how to be celebrities.

Or should we talk about the intense withdrawal symptoms, how the validity of your fame only lasts 365 days and as soon as the next set of new HMs are announced, your depression skyrockets. I wish these new guys goodluck. They don’t understand the world they’ve been thrown into.

  1. When talking about BBNaija, is a work or what? Those house mates need to sit down and think of what to do to make them progress if not the depression will set in and they will begin to have issues. Enough for the wise.

  2. The work you only do for ninety days and suddenly you want to become a billionaire, how is that possible? Instead of sleeping around or flirting here and there they should look for what to do and stand on their own because that BBNaija of a thing can’t take them to anywhere.

  3. Some of those people participate in BBNaija believe that once they are in that house they have become celebrities and those who have company will be making use of them as an ambassador which is not. The money they get from the TV reality show should be used for something meaningful not traveling here and there.

  4. Been a BBNaija winner thus not mean he/she has everything, anybody may have luck to name as the winner you can’t be expecting what is not capable from the person, like putting on Gucci, driving Ferrari, living in banana ieland. It will never last. Just need to attach to something to stand with.

  5. Don’t leave a fake life , some people thinking may be when you come the winner of BBNaija they we be expecting some expensive thins from you like… Car house and some espensive cloth like Gucci D&G . Which is not so, you have to be very careful not to come back to grassroots.

  6. Big brother naija is not an automatic step to riches, despite the prices or money you won in there you still have to hustle and also invest.

  7. As for me..o, I don’t see the importance of this reality show they call BBNAIJA
    People tend to live fake lives and that is why this pressure is on them
