Buhari reacts to Public outcry, promises ‘Extensive Reform’ of Nigeria Police
President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the calls for the reform of the Nigerian Police Force by protesting Nigerian youths.
Delivering a speech at the launch of the presidential youth empowerment scheme at the State House in Abuja on Monday, the president promised to carry out an extensive reform of the Police Force.
“I will like to use this opportunity to say a word on the recent genuine concerns and agitations by Nigerians about the excessive use of force and in some cases extra-judicial killings and wrongful conduct of the men of the Nigerian Police Force.
“The disbanding of SARS is only the first step in our commitment to extensive police reforms in order to ensure that the primary duty of the police and other law enforcement agencies remains the protection of lives and livelihood of our people,” President Buhari said.
He also promised to ensure that all officers found culpable for the misconduct or wrongful acts are brought to justice.

All the things you promised us during your campaign non has been fulfilled o on top that you are still promising us that Nigerian Police will be reformed, abeg we are tired of you promises we need actions Dear Mr. President.

If you like reform or change the unit, upon all that is not enough to us, because how can sars suffer for what they did, they killed a lot of Nigeria youth and they still stands as we continue, council all what it called sars and do the investigation for the killers.
That’s what we are talking about not only disbandment but also Reformation from Nigeria police. The problem we are having with you is not saying anything since all these days.
Good talk from you, as Nigeria president we need to hear good news and consolation words from you. You are our father and you have to do so.
That is what we have been expecting from you for a while because if you have done something like this since, there will be no issues. We need total overhauling of the police.

SARS has killed our hope of tomorrow, how can we punish them than to end SARS. Is not to reform them, we want the dismiss with imidiate effect.
I hope Mr President do something about this, the present police force is nothing to talk about.
