Zamfara needs SARS – Governor Matawalle insists
Governor Bello Matawalle has stated that the recently disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) was vital to securing lives and properties in Zamfara state he governs.
The Governor who addressed newsmen after returning from a meeting of Northern Governors in Kaduna, called for deployment of officials of the disbanded police unit to Zamfara.
Matawalle said;
“We have recorded tremendous development in the area of peace building the Zamfara state with the commitment and professional contribution and support of the FSARS of the Nigeria Police.
“I will personally seek audience with Mr President on this issue. We need the FSARS or its equivalent in Zamfara state because we have seen their positive impact in spite their alleged excesses.”
There were SARS in your state when bokoharam is disturbing you, what have they done…. Now that they have been disbanded you are calling for them again…. I thinks you are an enemy of progress…

I support that,all the northern state needs SARS.
That’s why we are agitating for restructuring, if one regional is with security officer back by law and regulated by IGP nothing stops you to have it in state but not general.

Their harms is far more than their goods, if police officers could carry out their diligently, it would have far better but their atrocities are beyond redeemption.

I agree with Zamfara governor. SARS should be made available there so that they will help in fighting bandits and kidnappers. This is where laws of demand and supply is applicable, to make things available in areas where they are needed most.
