Angry Mob burn Nnamdi Azikiwe’s statue in Anambra
An angry mob in Anambra state has set the statue of late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, on fire in Onitsha. The statue was at Denis Memorial Grammar School Roundabout, Awka Avenue, Onitsha, known as Zik Roundabout.
While the mob were on a rampage, they doused the statue with petrol before setting it on fire. As they burnt the statue, the mob were shouting; “You put us in this mess by championing one Nigeria,” “You are the cause of our trouble,” amongst other uncomplimentary remarks.
Why couldn’t they pull it down completely? This idiot called Azikiwe, who sold and enslaved us to the north.
Shaa so sad
A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to make change work by any means
Zik championing for one Nigeria is not the problem but bad governance, even if the country is divided today into the desired republics and a bad leader is spearheading it,it will surely be as the present government.
Don’t complain about the snow boys we need change
Time to put that wall back up, I won’t be fooled again.its people choice
that foolish man that thought he will eat the dividends of saboteur forever we will make sure his name goes into extinction idiot
Who knew how we would have been if we were divided.
You can never please people.
He did what he thought was best for us.
We may be worst if we had separated ,who knows.
Why are we doing this to ourselves? The founders of this nation have good intentions but those present leaders put us in this mess. They shouldn’t have done that.
Is like someone said awo put us in this mess, not at. If our leaders and politicians can change their ways of doing things in this country, Nigeria would change better and become great. So sad.
During their time they really tried for Nigerians, Nigeria can be great like before but we need amend our constitution such as reducing the allowances of those political office holders and also if you want to hold any political post your children must be schooling in Nigeria government institutions, it might be free of charge but compulsorily in Nigeria school with this things will change.
This is becoming more and more serious
People are highly annoyed now with both present and past leaders
God save us…o
I know that we re angry but pls my brother nd sisters let just give peace a chance let forgive I believe now the leaders have seen how far the youth can go if they mess up so pls I pledge to everyone to give peace a chance
Noo you shouldn’t have done that, ist his fault? The angry mob shouldn’t have over reated like that… burning statues is not the best solution to Reformation…. You have reated and government have listen to your request,, you should have wait and see the outcome of it. Please stay away from bad mind.
But they should not have done that
What has the status got to do with the protest kwanu?
Abeg the youths of Anambra State should take it easy joor.
Hmmmmm! The youth are really angry o
This is bad and disgrace to the that zik build all this while….
This is getting serious….
Like seriously waiting concern the statue with the ongoing protest? According to my own views azik statue did not destroy by protesters. It may be some political thugs or opposition.
