EndSARS: “When political rallies turn violent, you don’t hear that thugs have hijacked the election” – Seun Kuti
Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti has slammed politicians for saying the EndSARS protests were hijacked by Thugs.
Speaking to Arise TV, he expressed that when election rallies turn violent, thugs are not blamed adding that some rich people associate themselves with violence and still get hailed by some other citizens.
“When political rallies turn violent, you don’t hear that thugs have hijacked the election. Rich Nigerians express themselves with violence all the time but we still call them ‘Your Excellency’ and ‘Honorable’ after they throw chairs and tantrums”, he said.
Those in NASS use to throw chairs and other weapons at themselves inside the assembly but honourable when they are outside, this is the mess we found ourselves in this country.
It’s not easy to hijack the protest if not with the knowledge and sponsor of those politicians, it won’t be easier for for them because they don’t want us to have freedom.
The politicians don’t want people to have freedom due to the benefit they are gaining from it. Masses should be careful and wary with all what those politicians tactics to destroy Nigerians.

Not even only rally sef both during election you won’t hear them mention thugs. Bad government, bad leaders everywhere. God is watching all of you.
Don’t mind these bad government we have here in Nigeria. Only a peaceful protest they went to recruit thugs for the protesters but my happiness is that atleast they have seen it that the youths just purposely kept quiet since. What politicians saw was just small if they don’t do anything fast now.
