Lekki Toll Plaza should be renamed and made toll free – Alex Ekubo
Nollywood Actor, Alex Ekubo has suggested that the famous Lekki toll gate be renamed in memory of protesters who lost their lives during the protest.
In a tweet he shared, he said the toll gate should be renamed Lekki memorial way and be made toll free.
He wrote;
Lekki Toll Plaza, should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way… & be made Toll Free… in Honor of our fallen comrades…
Good idea, if they can do that it’s a welcome development and Nigerian will be happy with it. That’s good news.

How can it be free when it was built to generate revenue to the pocket of the government, instead of agitating compensation for those people who lost their precious lives during protest, you are talking about rename of toll gate.
Government should compensate those who lost their loved ones during the protest not renaming matter most to them, once they even see the name of their loved ones in the place, they will continue remembering the agony of pain that the protest cause them

Yes he said it right, we are in support for that, but can Lagos State and his caba accept this? To be mentioned…can formal Lagos State governor…bola Ahmed tinubu accept that? Because he is the one be in charge of lekki toll gate revenue. But if they can do it as this young man said we be perfectly ok.
No I disagree. It should be renamed “LEKKI MASSACRE CENTRE” or “LEKKI GENOCIDE CENTRE” or THE LEKKI ENDSARS FALLEN HEROES CENTRE.”
The name should still remain itself..
Abi… Anything that they will do at that toll gate so that we will use it to remember the peaceful protesters
that lost their lives at that toll gate let them do it, either by moulding their status or renaming the place.

Yea True, that toll gate should be a memorial ground and they should also declare that day a national holiday I mean, these guys are legendary.
That is good advice in names of those fallen heroes and the toll gate torn apart
I full support Alex does who died that day shouldn’t be forgotten.
He made a good point there,they Should make the lost souls family happy by should they didn’t die away like that.
