Police parade young male & female suspects who broke into Govt Silos in Jos and looted fertilizers, chemicals, other items

Operation Safe Haven, an outfit in charge of security in Plateau State, on Sunday October 25, paraded 116 suspects who allegedly broke into the office of the Plateau Agricultural and Development (PADP) in Dogon Dutse area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The looters who were searching for COVID-19 palliatives, invaded the warehouse at PADP and carted away several bags of fertiliser, farm implements, chemicals, generators and other items.

The invasion occurred early Sunday morning, despite the reinstatement of a 24-hour curfew in the Jos on Saturday.



It was gathered that the items are those of the Fadama Project 4 which were provided by the state government in collaboration with international agencies.

According to the STF, the suspects including 13 women, will be prosecuted while search for others involved is still ongoing. 

“The individuals are among those who destroyed government property and stole fertilizers, chemicals, generation among other items” STF said in a statement.

  1. Though, what they did is very wrong but the government should look for a way to pardon them and rehabilitate them and even also to sensitise them.

  2. If you people carted away food, it would have been better but fertilizer that meant for farmers to assist them in their works, it’s uncalled for.

  3. You better release them, because what made for government is already made for the citizen, ….and they have done so in several states in the country. So please free them let them go.

  4. Those are the people we are talking about, they are using advantages of the protesters to do something else in favour of there selfishness. Hold them well. Let them face the consequences.

  5. All these are caused by bad governance as simple as that
    Had it been the government was doing well, all these things would have been averted

  6. Anybody who is fighting for the interest of the police is mad. They have sworn to remain slaves to politicians.
