I did not leave PDP to join APC for their Presidential ticket, I will quit politics in 2023 – Gov Umahi claims
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state who officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday November 17, has stated that he doesn’t have a presidential ambition.
The Ebonyi state Governor who spoke to newsmen in Abakiliki, averred that he will be quitting politics by the end of his second term in office in 2023.
Umahi said;
”People can write all that they want to write, it is not my business. In 2023, if God permits, I will be quitting politics and I will be very satisfied because the miracles in Ebonyi State may just be the reason I was born in the first place.
“If people are shouting in this country about fairness, equity, and justice, and I stand in a place where such is not practice, then I have to re-examine my head.
“Let it be known that I am God’s project and I don’t go beyond the limit of my calling. I am satisfied being a governor and by His grace, for eight years.”
You talked about equity, justice and fairness, is there anyone of the things you mentioned in APC? No. PDP and APC are bird of a feather. Therefore, nothing good about them.
That is what some of you use to say, when you were looking for excuses to change the avenue of the party Who voted you in, you will come out with different lies.
You were in that party for so many years, that period you didn’t see all what you mentioned but when your second term as governor about to elapse that is when you see their mistakes. You people should fear God.
All our politicians are not contented with what that were giving to them by Almighty God and u know for sure that they can never be contented, if not the person who is about to serve for eight years as governor won’t deem it fit to cross to another party, shame on them.

Well truth be told your motive of leaving the PDP party to join the APC is best known to you but if you claim that is not for the pressure that they are presidential ticket then only God knows what your decision are and I pray they are for good for the betterment of the country
