‘You are a disgrace, both home and abroad’ – Actress, Adesua Etomi blasts Lauretta Onochie over her Tweet
Popular Nigerian actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has lashed out at presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie over her recent tweet of a picture depicting children who used cardboard as facemasks.
Onochie shared this in a bid to advise people to imbibe the use of facemasks to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
“WEARING A MASK IS NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT.
ITS NOT PUNISHMENT BY GOVERNMENT
PROTECT YOURSELF.
Wear one
These have made efforts with masking where those of us who are more vulnerable & susceptible to COVID-19 are still swearing that it’s a scam.
God bless their efforts”, she tweeted.
Reacting to this, Adesua expressed her displeasure over the photo while blasting the presidential aide, according to her Onochie should be talking about how to tackle poverty.
The actress wrote;
“You are a disgrace. Both home & abroad. You should be ashamed that these children have to do this with cardboards. Instead of talking about how to tackle poverty so they can be protected adequately against the virus, you’re spewing this nonsense.
“This picture made me so angry and brought tears to my eyes. They are so small , so vulnerable and so unprotected. Arghhhhhh. THIS COUNTRY”
Do you think those in power has something good to offer us? No, they don’t. Instead of looking for a way to making things easier for us, they busy embezzling it everyday. Shame on them.
That’s good because if they have done what ought to do, everybody won’t be lavishing them but they neglected their primary assignment and focus on something else.

I hope one day this government will change to better and change the policy which is not friendly with masses. They don’t have anything to offer except inflict pain on masses.
