Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed hints on reopening of land borders

Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed has hinted on the reopening of Nigeria’s land border. The borders have been closed since August 2019.

Zainab speaking with State House correspondents on Wednesday, November 25 said the presidential committee set up on the matter has completed its job and has recommended the reopening of the borders.

The borders were closed in August 2019 in a bid to curtail illegal importation of drugs, small arms, and agricultural products into the country from neighboring West African nations.
