Court orders release of Sen. Ndume from Kuje Prison

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to Senator Ali Ndume who was detained in prison on Monday following the failure to produce Abdulrasheed Maina in court.

According to the presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang in a ruling on Friday, November 27, he stated that he chose to grant the senator bail based on his record of good behaviour before the court, notwithstanding that the other grounds of his bail application failed.

Justice Abang granted bail to Senator Ndume pending the hearing and determination of the Senator’s appeal filed at the Court of Appeal to challenge Monday’s order.

  1. When all these are happening to those who siphoned the country treasury, what would now happen to those who steal thousands.

  2. You have not seen the person who jumped bail and moreso, you have not heard anything from the suretee and you released him just like that, a whole judge.

  3. just political gara gara by the APC government, I know he is not going to be reprimanded in prison after all he is an APC senator. the APC wanted to use that to deceive Nigerians into believing that our Justice system is still working. the judiciary has been domiciled and boxed into submission by the APC dictatorship. we know the game being played, this is a kind of motor park touts showing fake seriousness to fight but all are deceptive acts.

  4. Okay…o if the court has said that, they should release him nah and obey court orders
We are not in a banana republic at all so the rule of law must prevail
