Governors will take COVID-19 Vaccine on Television – Fayemi
Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ forum(NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi has revealed that all governors will take the COVID-19 vaccine on live television to demonstrate the vaccine’s potency.
He said this after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
According to him, the President has agreed to convey to the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the need to use influencers such as religious leaders, entertainers, and athletes to gain the confidence of citizens at the state and local level.
According to the governor, this move will help to address the cultural and religious concerns around taking the vaccine.
Exactly what I want, they have to lead by example..
You should always lead by example in all ramifications, that will be okay by us.
Why can’t we work on how to produce our vaccine instead of looking for help from outside the country.
Once you have certified the COVID-19 vaccine and you assured us that there will be know repercussions.
I hope this thing (vaccine) will be an added advantage to Nigerians in order to prevent our leaders from locking us down.
Our government also need to encourage our traditional medicine here in Nigeria in order to find solution to any diseases that happens in nearest future.
