Shehu Sani reacts as Muslim Forum ask Kukah to leave Sokoto

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the call by a Muslim group for the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah to leave the state following his Christmas message.

The Muslim Solidarity Forum, Sokoto, had advised Kukah to quietly leave Sokoto or stop what it termed “his malicious vituperations against Islam and Muslims,” and tender unreserved apology to Muslims.

Reacting to this in a tweet via his twitter handle, Shehu Sani called for a dialogue instead of threats.

He wrote;

“My Dear Muslim Forum Sokoto, go in peace and meet Kukah in his Parish, engage him in a debate and defeat or win him over with your superior argument; be a tolerant host, no need to threaten or ‘expel him.’ Don’t set a precedent for “Quit noticing the messenger” Thank you.”

  1. Thank God for your contribution, instead to engage him in dialogue they result to threatening which is dangerous.

  2. The authority should involve in this issue and call on those involve to settle the issue with in order not to degenerate beyond what we think.

  3. Even I don’t see any inciting word from his message he read on their festival Eve, those inciting violence should look for way to settle it not adding another problem.

    1. Kukah may be thinking wether SHEHU sanni love him that’s why he is giving him advice, but I see all the advice as the wrong one.

  4. We are facing insecurities in the country presently and I hope those association won’t compound the issue by causing another problem in the country.

  5. SHEHU sanni is a bastard for head, what is he trying to say……he did what is totally wrong and they ask him to leave the state or make a public apology instead…..don’t interrupt the two….the Islamic forums in sokoto and the kukah if you know a good word can not come out from your stupid month.

  6. Good response cuz all what he did didn’t even tarnish any religious image but the facts that we know…..
