‘Prosperity sermon’ is from Lucifer, Pastors owning private jets, two cars are not Christians – Giwa
The Senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has termed prosperity sermons as a teaching from Lucifer. He said if pastors are to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, no pastor will have more than one car, but these days Pastors are seen with fleet of cars, Private jets and houses.
Addressing his members in Akure on Wednesday, Giwa made it known that Nigeria has one of the richest pastors in the world. He said many clerics have deviated from the teachings of Christ because they want to be rich.
“The teachings of our Lord Jesus give us insights into how He wants us to live as His followers. Many of us have deviated from these teachings today just because we want to be rich. Do you know that Nigeria has one of the richest pastors in the world?, he said
“Truth is bitter, but we must say it as it is that if all of us want to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, no pastor will have more than one car and a house. It’s unfortunate that most of us have a series of cars, private jets, houses among others. Jesus said in the book of Matthew 6:3 that if someone gives to the poor, he or she should keep it secret.
“How many pastors are following this teaching today? Also, in the book of Matthew 19:21, Jesus told the rich man to go sell all his possessions and follow him. Some of us have different possessions today and we keep saying we want to be like Jesus; we are all fooling ourselves. Let me tell you, it is not easy to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
“Any pastor having two, three or four cars cannot claim he is following the paths of our Lord Jesus Christ. Prosperity sermon is a false teaching from Lucifer. The devil offers riches, read Matthew 4:5-6 where Satan tempted Jesus Christ, he added.

I said this thing before, look at apostle Paul who wrote half of the new testament Bible and was filed with the holy spirit, even healing all manner of sickness and disease has no material possessions,. What about peter, John etc, they have no material possessions. But now pastors are so rich there children are abroad, yet member are in pains and poverty. They are not preaching Christ at all.
He doesn’t asked us not live comfortably but always assist those who doesn’t have.
Some people will twist it other way round, this life is very simple than the way some people is handling it.
Prosperity will surely judge everyone, whatever you do today will surely become history.
