Boko Haram releases pastor hours before deadline

Nigerian clergyman, Bulus Yakuru, who was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on December 24, 2020, has been released.

The terrorists abducted him after killing seven persons during an attack in Pemi Village, Borno state.

In a video posted on social media last week, the clergyman was seen appealing to the Federal government to intervene and secure his release as the sect members threatened that was the last time he would be given an opportunity to plead for intervention.

According to PREMIUM TIMES, Bulus was sighted being moved to the office of Nigeria’s domestic intelligence service known as the State Security Service in Borno after his release by the sect members on Wednesday evening, March 3.
