Malami never condemned the ban of alcohol in the North but is against the ban on open grazing – Reno Omokri

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to a recent comment credited to the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami on his take on the ban of Open grazing in the South.

Malami during an interview on Channels television condemned the act as he likened it to the ban of spare parts in the North.

Reno Omokri in a tweet via his twitter handle noted that if Northern states can ban the sale of beer and pig farming then the South can ban open grazing.

He further added that when Hisbah demolished the business of fellows Nigerians selling alcohol in the North, Malami never came to anyone’s defense but now resurfaces to protect herdsmen.

In his words;

“The comment by (President Muhammadu) Buhari ’s Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, that banning open grazing is like banning spare parts trading, shows this regime is fully behind killer herdsmen. If Northern states can ban beer and pig farming, Southern states can ban open grazing.

“If Nigerians can’t do open grazing of pigs in the North, then local and foreign herdsmen can’t do open grazing of cows in the South. You should not condemn one without condemning the other, except you mean Southerners are second class citizens!

“When Hisbah demolishes the businesses of their fellow Nigerians in the North for selling alcohol, where was Malami to defend them? But now that the open grazing ban has touched his ‘anointed’ herdsmen, he resurfaces to protect them.”
