Liverpool wins First ever FIFA Club World Cup

Liverpool FC have defeated the Flamengo of Brazil to become world champions for the first time in their 127-year history.

Jürgen Klopp’s men clinched the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup trophy after pipping Copa Libertadores winners 1-0 in extra time at the Khalifa International stadium in Doha, Qatar on Saturday evening.

Liverpool became champions after their fourth attempt to conquer the globe, following defeats in 1981 (against same Flamengo), 1984 and 2005.
