Ondo State deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ajayi had earlier in June defected from APC to PDP because of the troubles he was having with his principal officer, Rotimi Akeredolu but lost the Governorship ticket for the PDP to Eyitayo Jegede.

He confirmed his resignation in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Allen Sowore on the 9th of August. In the letter, he appreciated the national leadership and members of the party for their warm reception and acceptance in the short period he rejoined the party.

He also added that he has been getting calls from Ogun state to run for governor.
There are rumors he will officially defect to the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP this week in his bid to fly the party’s flag in the October 10 Governorship election of the state.

  1. It’s ondo state not “ogun state”. As I used to say all the the politicians are selfish, it’s not by force to serve Nigeria, jumping from one place to another because you were not given ticket in PDP then you resigned less than 3 months and moved to another party again, after wasting millions of naira on ticket and other things. We masses should know what we are doing and vote for credible candidate among them. Most of them only after the treasury of the state/country.

  2. Selfish people they don’t even care about the future of their people but only themselves. Nigerians should wake up and elect those who have the feeling of the masses in their minds. Politicians should desist from politics of prostitute.

  3. Mhhhh!!! All these Nigeria politicians to me do not have any ideology the stand for. I feel they run from one party to the other just to seek for a mare platform to actualize their personal dreams not that they believe in any specific ideology of any political party so to say.
See in this case for example, this man cross carpeted from APC to PDP and after loosing his bid to contest for governorship under PDP, he resigned and is set to join another political party
All these things arehappening just within a short period of time
    Very ridiculous to hear
