Lekki Shooting: “Sanwo-Olu gravely implicated” – FFK reacts after Army makes claims

The 81 division of the Nigerian Army has made a defence concerning the shootings that went down at the Lekki toll plaza last Tuesday as they claimed that Sanwo-Olu had invited them to intervene in the End SARS crisis.

They however, insisted that its soldiers did not shoot at the peaceful protesters, describing the report of shooting as false aimed at causing anarchy.

Reacting to this, Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode in a tweet said the denial by the Nigerian Army was a grave implication on the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, adding that the Governor has been thrown under the bus by the Army.

“The @HQNigerianArmy claim it was the LASG that asked for soldiers to be deployed at Lekki. The implications of this for @jidesanwoolu are grave. He has been thrown under the bus by the military, he wrote
