Don’t distract me with 2023 Presidency – Yahaya Bello
Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has stated that he does not want to be distracted by calls for him to contest in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
The Governor stated this on Monday through his Chief Press Secretary, Nnogwu Sani Mohammed at the ongoing security and economic summit of the Northcentral Governors Forum in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
He expressed that his administration is focused on delivering his mandate of rebuilding Kogi State.
Bello further expressed that his administration’s ability to curb insecurity in Kogi State and massive youth empowerment has been attracting support leading to the calls for him to join the 2023 presidential race.
He, therefore, called for support to deliver his second term mandate of rebuilding Kogi State. Bello said the issue of the 2023 presidency should not be put on the front burner and heat the polity. He further restated his commitment to ensuring improved security, economy, and youth employment.
You don’t need to distract yourself because whatever they are saying can’t distract you once you have the vision.
2023 is not far but don’t let people mislead you, someone needs to prepare him/herself ahead, to become a president is not an easy task.
Who is distracting you? You better face your governance in kogi state, you have not done anything for them and you are thinking on how to become Nigeria president. Never.
Nigeria is bigger than what you think, kogi people won’t pray to have someone like you again not to talk of ruling the country. Kogi people didn’t enjoy your services at all..

By the way, you can’t even lead a state and you are talking of being the president of the country
