Joe Biden appoints Nigerian-born Funmi Badejo as White House counsel
United States President-elect Joe Biden has appointed Nigerian-born Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo as White House Counsel.
The office of White House counsel advises the president, the executive office of the president, and the White House staff on legal issues pertaining to the president and the White House.
Biden had announced Badejo’s appointment alongside 20 members of the office of the White House counsel. Badejo had served as ethics counsel in the same office toward the end of the Obama administration.
Funmi is the daughter of Prof Zachaeus Olorunnipa from Igbo-Bunu, Kabba-Bunu LGA of Kogi State. Funmi’s elder brother, Tolu Olorunnipa is currently the White House Correspondent for Washington Post.
She began her legal career as an associate with the law firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and was Legal Counsel at Palantir Technologies Inc. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the University of Florida. Originally from Florida, Olorunnipa Badejo lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and son.”
We have intelligence and intellectual people here in Nigeria and abroad but in Nigeria because of corrupt mind they have they refuse to say the truth to our leaders.
Nigerians are great people wherever they found and very useful but here in Nigeria our leaders or governments use to choose those who are corrupt and selfish one because of their own gain.
If our government can start recruit competent one among ourselves, Nigeria would have be a better country to live in the world.

A very commendable appointment by Biden and big congrats to Fumi for making us proud. This shows that Biden is non racist and definitely will do well better than Trump. If I may recall this is the second or more times Biden is giving appointment to Nigerian descent. Kudos to him and the appointees
