Nigeria will partner Cameroonian, Chadian Soldiers to end Insurgency —Attahiru

The Nigerian Army has announced that it will engage the services of the Chadian and Cameroonian troops to end the reign of insurgency in the country.

This was according to a statement by the Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, while addressing troops at the Army Supercamp 1 Ngamdu, Yobe state, on Monday.

Attahiru said the army will bring in Chadians and Cameroonian soldiers to ensure the annihilation of the insurgents in the North-East soonest.

He noted that the major thing before him is to tackle and decimate the insurgents, thereby ending the war.

Attahiru added that the welfare challenges and lack of equipment being faced by the troops will also be addressed as he urged the troops to put in greater efforts in the fight against insurgency and make sure that they are professionals in whatever they do.
