Petrol Price: ASUU should represent Nigerians at negotiation table – Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has suggested that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) should represent Nigerians during the dialogue for new petrol price with the Federal Government.

The former lawmaker’s advice is coming few hours after the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) revealed it will maintain the current ex-depot price of premium motor spirit (PMS), better known as petrol, until the end of negotiations with organised labour.

The former lawmaker in a tweet suggested that the labour union for university lecturers, known for its constant dialogues with the government, should represent the citizens.

  2. If they can represent Nigerians, I hope it will be an added advantage to us because those NLC are toothless dog which can’t bite

  3. How much is minimum wage they give that they increase every price of everything in the country, this is bad

  4. Inflation has taken over the country, the government doesn’t even care about the way Nigerians are living in the country, if ASUU can come to our aids, it will be good

  5. I think he is right, be NLC and TUC have failed us, we need a more strong unions like Asuu to represent us.
