“My lawyers are currently studying it for our next line of action” – Okagbare reacts to 10-year ban for doping

Nigerian Athlete, Blessing Okagbare has reacted to the 10-year ban on multiple breaches on anti-doping rules slammed on her by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

The AIU took the decision after Okagbare tested positive for human growth hormone. The 33-year old was expelled from the Tokyo Olympics last year before the women’s 100m semi-finals.

Reacting to this in a post on Instagram, she said her lawyers are currently studying the statement issued by the AIU and will soon reveal their next line of action.

In her words;

“My attention has been drawn to the statement issued by the AIU regarding its disciplinary panel decision.

“My lawyers are currently studying it for our next line of action which we will inform you soon.”
