Train Attack: El-Rufai talkative, divulging classified information – NSA Munguno

Babagana Munguno, the National Security Adviser, has described Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai as a talkative especially when it comes to matters of insecurity in his state.

Munguno’s criticism of the governor came in response to recent comments attributed to him following the train incident, in which bandits attacked passengers traveling the route to Kaduna.

El-Rufai claimed that government agents are aware of bandit hideouts and listen in on their discussions on a regular basis.

The NSA stated this on Thursday, immediately after President Muhammadu Buhari presided over a security council meeting with heads of security agencies and ministers.

He said the Governor’s remarks might jeopardize the security situation because criminals can move to other locations if they know their current hiding is known.

“We know where their camps are. We know their camps, we have the maps; we know everything. We have their phone numbers and listen to their conversation sometimes. But it has to be done across the five states”.
