You cannot bite your nose to spite your face – Ehilebo tells Wike

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, head of New Media Anthony Ehilebo has appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and other aggrieved members of the party to embrace peace

He made the appeal in a statement on Friday. He noted that the most important thing stakeholders of the party should be concerned with is how to win the forthcoming elections

According to him, you can’t bite your nose to spite your face

He said, “The most important thing is that everybody is a stakeholder in this project. You cannot be aggrieved to bite your nose to spite your face. The most important thing is for us to win an election. We have been out of government for 8 years.

“Do you want to stay for another 8 years? Those people who are saying they will work against the party, are they sure they will have a new home with the people they are going to work with? Are they sure these people are going to deliver the dividends of democracy like PDP did?

“These are unknown factors. Why don’t you work with the party?

“We don’t have a dog in the party. The only person we have is the candidate and we want our candidate to win.

“Ayu is not a dog in the fight. If he has started as the party chairman and produced a candidate, let him deliver the candidate. It’s as simple as that.

“We agitated for the removal of Secondus. We cannot agitate again. We don’t change chairman like that”.
