2023: You are not Yorubas’ mouthpiece – Akeredolu tackles Afenifere over decision to support Peter Obi

Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State , has faulted the decision taken by the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, to support Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP. He said the group does not speaking on behalf of the Yoruba people.

The Governor, who is the Southwest Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, made this known while speaking on “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Business of Nation Building”, during a Twitter Space session.

He said Tinubu has always been a progressive adding that skills and knowledge, not race or ethnicity, are what matters to the country.

“We are left with an Obi and Asiwaju. Then you will weigh the two. Some of us have made a decision about Asiwaju. And the decision is based on what he has to offer,” he said.
