Renowned Yoruba actress, Jaiye Kuti has responded to the rumors of her supposed romantic involvement with Pasuma, a popular fuji singer whose real name is Wasiu Alabi Ajibola. It was rumored that the actress ended her marriage to pursue a relationship with Pasuma.

However, Jaiye Kuti clarified in a recent interview with BBC Yoruba that the rumors began after they appeared as a couple in her movie titled ‘Jaiyeola Monje’, where they played a couple and had a child. She explained that their on-screen wedding led fans watching the movie to discover if there was any truth to the rumor.

She went on to state that the alleged affair was not true, and that their relationship is purely professional. She also mentioned that she is happily married with children and that the images circulating online are from the movie and not from any real-life romantic involvement.
