Seun Kuti, the troubled Afrobeat singer, expressed his gratitude towards his family members and friends for their unwavering support during his recent encounter with the Nigerian police.

On May 13, the Inspector General of Police, Baba Alkali, issued an arrest order against Seun Kuti after a video emerged online showing him slapping and pushing a police officer on Third Mainland bridge. He voluntarily surrendered himself on Monday, May 15, and remained in police custody until his eventual release on bail on Tuesday night, May 23.

After being released, Seun took to his Facebook page to convey his appreciation to all those who stood by him. He attributed his freedom and mental stability to their unwavering support and acknowledged their role during this challenging period.
