Presidential Tribunal: The EU is still smarting over the fact that its preferred candidate lost but we know the truth about what happened behind the scenes – FFK

Femi Fani-Kayode, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), strongly criticized the European Union (EU) for its recent report on the 2023 general elections.

Last week, the EU released a report stating that the elections were marred by irregularities, which undermined the trust in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In addition, the EU labeled Fani-Kayode and Festus Keyamo, a former Minister of Labour and Employment, as disseminators of false information during the election campaign.

Responding to the report, Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, took to Twitter on Wednesday and accused the EU of bias. He claimed that the EU was upset because their preferred candidate did not win the election.

According to him, the purpose of the report was to undermine, discredit, and tarnish President Bola Tinubu’s victory. Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that the president would serve two terms in office despite the controversies surrounding his election on February 25th.

He wrote, “The truth is that the EU is still smarting over the fact that its preferred candidate lost. We know what happened behind the scenes but that is a story for another day.

“The most important thing is that PBAT prevailed. Now they are trying to diminish, discredit and tarnish his victory by saying that the election was flawed with irregularities and rigged and that his front line generals and warriors, who stood with him in the heat of battle, indulged in fake news.

“They are nothing but poor losers and lost souls and whether they like it or not PBAT is here to stay and, God-willing, will lead Nigeria for the next 8 years!

“I am glad that the Presidency has responded to their dishonest, disrespectful and contemptuous report in a decisive and appropriate manner. We need say no more”.
