Man threatens to divorce his wife if she refuses to get pregnant for a fifth child

Akwa Ibom MC, Imaan Mike Umoh has in a Facebook post shared an incident involving a Nigerian man who threatened to divorce his wife if she declined to have another pregnancy, despite already having four children.

According to Umoh’s post, a serious argument ensued in his neighborhood as the husband suspected his wife of secretly using contraceptives to prevent further pregnancies.

“ Serious fight in my street now. Husband threatened to divorce his wife if she refused to get pregnant for the 5th child. Suspecting his wife of taking contraceptives,” he wrote.
