”This administration brutal. Even the rich are crying” – Singer, Yhemolee

Yhemolee, a popular actor and singer, expressed deep concern over the recent surge in fuel prices and the deteriorating economic hardship in the country.

In a video message shared via his Instagram page on Friday, Yhemolee lamented that the current economic crisis was affecting not only the common citizens but also the wealthy.

He highlighted how foreign currencies like the British Pounds and the United States Dollars had significantly appreciated against the Nigerian Naira in the exchange market recently.

Yhemolee emphasized that the high fuel prices have made it difficult for many Nigerians to commute to their workplaces and conduct their businesses, adding to the overall economic strain.

Yhemolee said, “This administration brutal o. Even the rich are crying.

“Yesterday, I spent 15 minutes from Oniru, VI [Victoria Island] to Lekki Camp, that’s almost to Epe. 15 minutes, road clear on a working day. People didn’t go out? You didn’t see petrol?

“One Pounds is now N1100, one dollar is N850. It cost me N52,000 to fill my range rover and N32,000 for my Chevrolet. That is N80,000 plus for petrol of car. And I will fill both two times in a week. N160,000 in a week for petrol times four that is N640,000 in a month.”
