Zamfara University abduction: We must resist any attempt to allow criminals make rules for us – Peter Obi tells Nigerians

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, responded to the abduction of schoolgirls from the Federal University, Gusau.

Unidentified gunmen suspected to be bandits kidnapped an unspecified number of students from the Federal University of Gusau during the early hours of Friday. These terrorists reportedly assaulted the Sabon-Gida community situated in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, where many university students resided.

Obi urged Nigerians not to allow criminals and bandits to dictate the terms of their lives.

“We must as a nation resist any attempt to allow criminals to make the rules by which we live as a national community. And we should not allow bandits and criminals to destroy our nation.

“Combating insecurity remains the priority in the New Nigeria of my dream because I strongly believe that a safe and secure Nigeria is indeed possible,” he wrote on X.
