Mohbad: Naira Marley, Sam Larry granted N20m bail

Singer Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, have been granted bail by a Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, as of this morning, November 6. The court granted them bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties.

The court’s bail conditions mandate them to surrender their international passports and appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Additionally, they are required to provide three sureties of a similar sum.

The presiding magistrate explicitly cautioned that any attempts to contact her would be documented and potentially revealed during open court proceedings.

In a recent development, Naira Marley and Sam Larry filed a lawsuit against the Magistrate and Police over their prolonged detention. This lawsuit was initiated in the Federal High Court in Lagos, naming the police and magistrate as defendants and seeking N20 million each as compensation.
