If a marriage ends, change of name should be optional – Actress Mary Remy Njoku

Actress Mary Remmy Njoku has opined that when a marriage ends, women should have the option to choose whether to change their names or not.

The movie producer emphasized that it is unfair for a woman who has built a name over the years to be required to discard it simply because her husband is no longer interested in the marriage.

She further argued that a mother should not be obligated to have a different name from her underage children unless she is given the choice to alter their names as well.
