AFCON 2023: “We are lifting the cup” – Obi Cubana

Obinna Iyiegbu, the Nigerian businessman popularly known as Obi Cubana, extends congratulations to Nigerians and expresses confidence that the Super Eagles will emerge victorious in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

He conveyed this message to NAN in Abidjan, following Nigeria’s 1-0 triumph over Angola in the AFCON quarter-final on Friday.

Obi Cubana, who was at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan for the Super Eagles’ win over Angola, said: “You know we are lifting the cup; that is why we are here; we are here to lift the spirit. I’m so proud; they [Super Eagles] keep getting better game by game.

“I am happy because, in the same spirit of unification, we are going to lift this cup to make Nigeria proud.

“Who else is playing in this competition? We can’t go home without winning this cup; congratulations to Nigerians.”
