”You got an extra verse, call me” – Rihanna tells Ayra Starr
A dream collaboration between Nigerian sensation Ayra Starr and her idol, Rihanna seems to be brewing as Rihanna herself has expressed keen interest in working with her.
Ayra Starr has openly expressed her admiration for Rihanna, considering her a role model in the industry.
During a recent Fenty event hosted by Rihanna, it was the Barbadian music mogul who initiated a conversation with the Nigerian songstress about the prospect of collaborating.
The exchange between the two was captured on video as they conversed on the black carpet. Rihanna disclosed to Ayra Starr that her cousin from Barbados had introduced her to Ayra’s music, especially after Ayra mentioned that Barbados held a special place in her heart as her favorite destination in the world.
Rihanna said; “I’ve been hearing of Ayra Starr, I don’t know who but my cousin she was like, ‘Oh my God I got this [song] from Ayra Starr.’ She was obsessed with you.”
She then asked, “Do you have a song with Tems?”
Ayra Starr replied, “That’s my sister. We do have songs but we don’t have a song [out] yet. But soon..”
Rihanna added, “You got an extra verse for me? Call me.”
